I'm visiting Bendigo in a few weeks, and hoping to get to Mt Kooyoora, climging with my 12 year old daughter.
We have no experience doing trad climbs, and I gather that there's only a few bolted routes at Mt Kooyoora, so I expect we will be setting up a few top ropes.
Can anyone tell me if we will need some Rockcentrics or similar gear to set up top ropes? I'm not keen on hanging a top rope off a single bolt, and in some of the photos there doesn't look to be a lot of trees.
Many thanks.

If you are in Bendigo and want to top rope, you would be better off heading to Mt Alex. There are several places at Dog rocks, and many at Wabbit where setting up top ropes is easy, safe and possible with trees.
Kooyoora is a bolt free, chalk free crag. The courtyard would the only place I would top rope anything, and it is short.
I've climbed at both many times...

Thanks for that Fish Boy. Yes, we will be hitting up Mt Alexander as well.
