A slightly used size 46 pair is for sale. They are half a size too small for me- (toes hit the end on steep downhills and slow me down so I miss the last telepherique of the day-bummer!) and I am buying a new pair on upcoming trip to Europe. They are in excellent condition and ideal for NZ, Europe, trekking peaks- very lovely and comfortable if you've only had plackie boots up to now. They have seen about 10-15 days use- mostly snow and ice so no scuffiing to speak of. New they cost $600-$700 I think. I will sell for $350. They are in Melbourne. If you can get yourself to Zermatt in late June I'll throw in a free climbing lesson if you need it.

Dude, everyone must miss the last telepherique at LEAST once, otherwise it is not a real Chamonix trip. I presume Zermatt is no different.

Honer, UK and US sizes are so yesterday! Euro sizing is the wave of the future, as there's nothing to confuse it with. No male/female/US/UK nonsense. Especially since the best sports footware is coming from Europe

To help out, these boots are regarded as the dogs bollox of alpine boots (that's British for 'really very good'). If they're likely to fit, go for it guys!

46 translates to about size 10.5 or 11 I would say. I fit size 46 rockshoes suitably tight, and the 46 Sportiva boots are half a size too small for me, so if you can do 45 rockshoes the boots are probably about right.

As for telepherique missing- well, yes, its part of the game. But when one's exuberance at either a) a summit, or b) getting off alive, can't be expressed in a jaunty step and light gait due to so small a part of the anatomy as a couple of toes, well it just ain't right and the boots have to go! To appreciate the importance of good boots, read Aat Vervoorn's lovely book "Mountain Solitudes". He got a pair of these boots- the exact same model I think, and waxed rhapsodic about them.

Interested in purchasing these boots (a mate sent me your message).
I'm normally a 45 but 46 would be fine and allows for the extra pair of socks!
How can we get in contact?
