Almost completely remodeled house in Natimuk for sale (not a fixer-upper). Great location on creek. New roof, electrics, plumbing, stumping, kitchen, etc....... Also 20,000+ water tank, solar PV system that produces more power than used, and greywater system.

Call Enga at 03 5387 1556 or e-mail ruralresourcesaustralia@gmail.com for more info

If I have done this correctly there should be two pics.

Its rumoured to be a glorious peaceful town where everyone knows your name and there is nothing to do but climbing and drinking.

I personally don't believe it exists and is a fantasy of Melbourne climbers.

Wasn't there an arete in the Grampians named after how friendly everyone is in Natimuk?

Thinking of one of the posters above I thought it might be Blimp, but sadly its not really arete territory.

"where everyone knows your name" - hey wasn't that part of the theme song for Cheers? Does the downtown of our local climbing mecca somehow resemble a bar in downtown Boston?

"Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got.
Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot.

Wouldn't you like to get away?
Sometimes you want to go

Where everybody knows your name,
and they're always glad you came.
You wanna be where you can see,
our troubles are all the same
You wanna be where everybody knows
Your name.

You wanna go where people know,
people are all the same,
You wanna go where everybody knows
your name.

Making your way in the world today
Takes everything you've got;
Taking a break from all your worries
Sure would help a lot.
Wouldn't you like to get away?

All those night when you've got no lights,
The check is in the mail;
And your little angel
Hung the cat up by it's tail;
And your third fiance didn't show;

Sometimes you want to go
Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came;
You want to be where you can see,
Our troubles are all the same;
You want to be where everybody knows your name.

Roll out of bed, Mr. Coffee's dead;
The morning's looking bright;
And your shrink ran off to Europe,
And didn't even write;
And your husband wants to be a girl;

Be glad there's one place in the world
Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came;
You want to go where people know,
People are all the same;
You want to go where everybody knows your name.

Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came;
Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came..."

C'mon, Chocky isn't like that. It's meant to be the warm'n'fuzzy cyber-campfire thing, remember?

Last camp fire I can remember literally resulted in a pissing contest.
