Hello,
Splitting up my rack and selling it. More to come as I get around to taking pictures.
I did a lot of climbing and mountaineering in my yoof in europe and then had a ten year break due to a number of reasons. I recently started gym climbing again and on impulse purchased a rack for trad, intending to get back into it.
My first outing I realised I no longer have the head for Trad leads and more importantly, I no longer have the motivation to get back into that headspace. So I'm ditching the rack. Some of the items have never been used from new. Some have been racked for a single multi-pitch lead, some were actually placed.
If you're wondering - no falls on them :)
First to go is my pro. Ideally, I'd like to sell as sets rather than separates.
$10 p+p on each set, or you can pickup in melb CBD during the working week.

$200 for set

So 6 months or so ago I posted the original ad.......
I haven't been climbing and the pro has sat in my gear bag unused so it really is time it went. Priced to sell.
350 for the cams
100 for the wallnuts
75 for the wedgies
...or 500 gets you the lot.

Yeh, the last year has been a disaster climbingwise - though I've heard breeding, drinking and a desk job is perfect cross training so I have high expectations.
Anyway, getting new gear is more like a precondition for me ever climbing again. Noone I climb with ever wants to use my rack (its half booty, non matching and old) and the mrs looked at it the other day and politely informed me that as a father of two I now have responsibilities to people other than myself.

From ridiculously too high a price to a bargain in one foul swoop.
Dam, I missed that!

Lotsa nice small wires in that rack Stu. You should throw yourself at Lois Lane as nice little comeback climb.

Har de har har simey. That jokes about as hackneyed as '3 years on d-minor'.
But I can take a challenge and will endeavour to get my increasingly widening arse up LL before I turn 40 (I turn 39 next month). If I fail I get public ridicule. If I succeed then you promise to give the climb in question its proper name in the next araps guide as well as an explanation of its origin.
Deal?

It might be a while before the next Araps guide is out, but I will happily hold your rope on LL.
