Hi guys,
I was thinking about buying a chockstone T-shirt for a mate for christmas, which was a good plan until I found out that you have to place an order for at least 20 from Makalu. So anyone else out there interested in putting in for a chockstone T-shirt run? (At an approximate price of $30 per T-shirt give or take a few bucks).
I need replies by 1 December.
Cheers

We had a problem with the first print run. A lot of people said they wanted one - but when it came to the
crunch (after they were printed!) many people didn't pay for them. I think a deposit might be required this
time!

Neil does that mean there are some left from the last print run?

Yep, There was a bit of a problem last time regarding cash flow. So this time if there is enough interest, I'll require a deposit...

i think they were all sold (or given away) eventually - but the numbers weren't enough to make it a
worthwhile exercise. Printing, processing money orders and posting for a 20 or so shirts just didn't feel
like a great use of time for all linvolved!

Just an idea
Maybe chockstone T shirts are something which could be done in conjunction with a future issue of Crux Magazine, maybe the chockstone design from before on the back and the Crux Logo on the front?

... and sponsor X logo, plus sponsor Y logo?
Will make my original ChockyT a collectors item !
Heh, heh, heh.

How many t-shirts were made originally? I wear mine a fair bit and had a few comments from chockstoners but have never seen another worn.!!

I'd be keen to get my grubby little hands on one :) Better check that it's still doable with Makalu-had heard some rumours about changes within the company.

I spoke to Belinda less than a week ago or so and she was pretty confident that it was worth while if we got a group together.

Hi,
I love my Chockstone T-Shirt and want two more (one will be a gift for a climbing partner), size Large if the brand of shirt/sizing is the same as last time. I'm located north of the border so can't meet up to hand over cash but happy to pay you or Belinda by credit card, direct deposit, or money order -- whichever suits.

Total Amount Paid up front will sort out the people who actually want one from the time & money wasters
No money from 20 or more people = No print run. Simple.
Consider how much money many of you spend on gear. compared with that, full amount up front for a t-shirt is stuff-all.

So we are hovering at about 10ish Tshirts at this stage... Anyone else want in?
Really need a few more orders, otherwise it gets pretty expensive....

I'll take one. Will it make me climb harder?

Unfortunately there hasn't been sufficient demand this time to run an order. I'll try again inext year and see how we go then.
Cheers guys.
