Hi all.
Had a great day trip to mt Rosea on Saturday but half way up debutante and of course my phone decided to bail. Final result when I did find the parts and put it together reminded me of old fitzroy days. More cracked than a crack head and more bent than a stoner. But surprisingly she still works. But due to glass in my fingers as I write this I fink I need a new one. Btw there some booty I left off route for payment.

A screen protector might hold the screen together and stop it jabbing you.

You could look at the new 'cynogen oneplus one', cheaper than the nexus 5 (the previous giant slayer) and better in every way. It will outperform your now broken GS4 six ways from sunday and get you a brand new replacement phone for under $400. Don't think its released to Aus yet so you'd need to check radio bands are compatible then use a freight forwarder, or you could just wait till it comes on sale. Check out engadget and the whirlpool forums for further detail - you will probably get better advice there than on a climbing forum.

Actually Skegly, I might have a GS4 screen you can have, let me check when I get home. I have a broke one I dunked while fishing but if I remember correctly the damage is on the motherboard not the screen so you could probably swap it over, I'll let you know.
However... to proceed with this generous offer I would need a suitable (and witty) reply from you indicating just how much of a dirt bag climber you are and why you are worthy of charity (extra points will be given if you can insult some of the well known chocky personalities while your at it)

Cheers muchly
but as i said i was off route and had not had my teaspoon of cement to barge on through so donated my nuts to the rock goddess Rosea and baled only to realize we missed the right turn to the chain belay so gathered my phone bits to wimp on up and marvel the gentle dance of floating gum leaves.

I checked and all good. PM your address and I'll send you a shiny not quite new gs4 screen, some assembly required. I'll throw in the case, surround and other bits etc. you'll just need to change the main board and your back up and running ready for more off route goodness.
