I'm trying to track down some travel insurance that will cover trekking and trekking peaks in the Nepal Himalaya, including medical evacuation via helicopter. The BMC has exactly what I need but you need to be a Brit to apply for it.

I have used IHI Bupa when climbing in Nepal multiple times. They cover trekking as well as climbing and will cover heli evacuation. A friend recently told me that the small print indicates they will only perform 1 evac. I.e. if you break your leg you'll get a heli out to Kathmandu but may not then get an emergency flight home (assuming you need it). Best to check that out as I'm not sure if it is correct. I found them the cheapest option and there are no restrictions on activity.
