I am not in the area but offer the following comment...
The difference between a floodplain and a catchment slope is the relative elevation of each!! ☺

Depending upon your timing, if you have to negotiate low lying areas to get there, then you may experience some trouble doing so...

More than one city-boy has set up their tent in one of the many natural drainages in the Pines. Staying on top of the micro topology of your campsite is a mark of an experienced woodsman.

went for a drive last night - river is pretty high and flooding fields and roads are shut to the north of horsham more rain expected but the peak flow is supposed to be at some point this morning. People in Quantong have been advised to move to higher ground. The river at the bottom of my garden is back to being a creek x
