Do you think climbing performance improves with regular sessions in the sack, or do you think the path to climbing greatness is to abstain and keep your body pure? And what about sox and sex?

Can climbing training and sex be combined somehow so that each one improves the other? Now that would be great, and the non-climbing partners of climbers would be much more encouraging of getting out there and ripping it up.

I can't remember his name, but there was a "le tour" cyclist who used to bed his wife every night. One day someone on his team suggested that his sex be cut out of his night so that he could rest better for the next stage. He abstained but the next day he had an absolute shocker of a stage because he was all out of routine and flustered by not having his usual sex.
The moral of the story is to stick to routine, so best leave your sock covering it and pretend is doesn't exist as usual.

I know that some Tour riders also abstained from the night rhumba for 6 weeks prior to the departe to be fresh and fully primed for action.

I read once that Reinhold Messner (I think, - it could easily have been someone else prominent in climbing circles), used to combine pushups with the act, so that the only contact with his partner was-

Yes. In fact I would have thought (my impression from his earlier posts), that simey would be an authority on the topic, and therefore not be needing to ask the question. ;-)

... from the gfdonc link above.
At the professional level...
>For entertainment, the Potato Sack Racing girls often come out during breaks wearing nothing but Potato Sacks to cheer on the racers.
>In the future, many are expecting the sport to gain popularity due to its wide-spread appreciation, its safety compared to other sports, and the ambition shown by the racers.
Thereyagosimey you can get in on the ground floor for this upcoming sport, ambitious fellow that you are; ... and enjoy it further when the controversial bolt safety-sack wars start?

I don't get much chance to do either at the moment so when it comes my way I partake in the activity. I would probably shag at the belay if offered both at the same time.

10 ways that sex improves your climbing :
* Grabbing and fondling your partner, improves hand strength.
* Sticking your fingers into small cracks improves finger strength.
* Jaming your fist in a big crack improves fist jamming strength.
* Kinky sex with rope improves your rope skills.
* After shooting a load, you are lighter.
* Group sex improves your reach.
* Finding "the spot" improves precision.
* Getting in rhythm with your partner improves co-ordination.
* Making "it" "last" improves focus and indurance.
* After shooting another load you are even lighter again.
So yes, it's unanemous, sex does improve climbing.
And when you're talking about sox and sex , are you refuring about your own sox or some one elses sox ?
