From what I'm hearing here, there does seem to be room for another place to climb in Melbourne, if I lived
there I'd be building one for sure, but, well, I like it here ;). The guy I know has a great building in Clayton,
will raise the roof to 14m, and someone could easily shake up the establishment down there if they're a
little complacent. It sounds more competitive here, with St Peters, Climbfit and a couple of other places
really trying hard to please the "discerning climber" with a minimum of a dozen routes plus boulders set
every week. Its not rocket science to run a good climbing centre - good walls, good setters, weekly
setting etc etc. so if i were down there, I'd get a bunch of people together and follow the old maxim: "build
it and they will come"
