i feel your pain.... superannuation plainly is a scam for people to play with a lot of other peoples money and not bear any consequences.

I had my super fund with "legal super" which was an industry funded super company, when i changed jobs i took this fund along with me cos i was quite happy with their returns, bearing in mind that you can only nominate to change your super fund once in a calendar year with my current employer. anyway, long story short, some big-shot money gobbling non-industry funded super company bought out my precious legal super, and not only was i slogged with nearly a thousand dollars worth of "account keeping fees" and "taxes" and other hootinanny, but the buggers also lost $5000 due to not being able to invest sensibly.

i'd rather stuff my flipping mattress, but oooohhh noooo, you cant do that, its illegal to keep your super anywhere but with some crappy half baked fund-monkey who couldnt find you a dollar on a pirates island with a treasure sodding map. ..... /end rant.
