i managed to be able to convince some people to build a bouldering wall/gym in Kabul in Afghanistan and working on the design now. Any suggestion on holds to buy?

atm the gym is built for the ex pat community but i am hopefully in proposals for a outdoor park

I think it would be a an arse about decision to buy holds from Australia if you were in Afghanistan. Or even the US. It's a long way to ship them.

Maybe look at some European manufacturers, such as 2D Holds in the Czech Republic or some other ones. I'm sure there is a few.

I had a mate that used to sell holds in Canberra (maybe he still does) and he used to get holds shipped in from the Czech Republic , wack a mark up on em and flog em here under his brand name. They were good holds.

not from the Czech Republic dude, besides I make them all here now. unless you have another friend?

I agree, shipping is going to be to much cost and hassle, just go an euro suplier, there are heaps just goooogle.

Just be wary of the different bolt standards, US & most of world 3/8" Europe = M10

thanks guys. Actually getting them from the Czech Republic would be awesome idea as I have Czech Army friends and can get them deliver for free on an Army flight in Afghanistan. Also the financier is Czech for the rock climbing project. yay!
