There's a pretty relaxed attitude to bolting on the Victorian cliffs. There has been a process underway to retrobolt old existing trad routes and old sport routes to make them safer and accessible to wider groups, over the last few years. Whereas once bolting was frowned upon, there's been a change in the climate towards encouraging people to be active and involved in bolting. Seeing a bolt next to a crack is now commonplace, particularly in the Grampians and at Arapiles, which I think personally is great. If you want I can put you in touch with people who can take you out to one fo the local cliffs to show you how to bolt, there are a couple of routes near the campsite at Arapiles which would be good practise
