Hey all, just a note to say that we're starting our new bouldering competition series on Monday.

Introducing the new CASUAL format - like bouldering could get any lazier.

The idea is that every week there will be two new problems set and identified as that week's comp problems (full range of grades set during the comp). So come in for your normal session and at some point in the night give the comp problems a go, if you tick them you can put a mark next to your name on the leaderboard, at the end of 20 weeks, the individual with the most ticks wins.

For more details check out the Competition page on The Lactic Factory website.
hope to see you from Monday.....
Christian

Hi Christian,

Are there any prizes? Not that I would be in the running, it's just that I couldn't see that from the website/flyer. I think this format sounds like a great motivator for climbers of all levels. It might even get me to to start bouldering.

Cheers,

Jim

Hey Jim,
I wasn't able to secure any sponsors for the comp so nothing officially - But I'll probably give out some 10 visits and 3 month memberships or shirts or out of date drinks or something....

Don't quote me on that though.
Besides, what's wrong with the chest swelling pride of knowing that you beat your peers?

Should get a perpetual trophy made up. Then all the winners could end up on a 'Roll of Pride'

That's a good idea devlin66.
We'll do that too!

I'm just about to go and set the first two new routes for the first week right now.
