I've spent a couple of days walking through the Cobaws (I live near them) and I've found almost no worthwhile bouldering. The granite is very fine grane with very few features. I think Black Hill has slightly more potential.

Anything is possible, it's a big park. If you can find out more precisely where the problems are I would be keen to check them out. I'm currently documenting the boulder problems that I know of around the Macedon ranges area so if you find anything or know of any good bouldering let me know.

10 or 11 in the first boulders and then 500m past the second group is a fire trail so im told.... a track goes up the hill near here and thats where the body of the problems are .

Ok just checked out the bouldering in the Cobaws. Could be worth a trip if you're keen on your bouldering. directions are as follows:

from Melbourne take Calder Hwy to Romsey/Hanging rock turn off. Turn right and travel 3.6km then turn left at the Lancefield (Hanging Rock) rd. Straight along this for 7.1km to cross rd. Straight ahead at cross rd into Egans Rd, turn right at end. Travel 2.5km to 3 way fork, take the middle rd. From 3 way fork travel 1.5km to Y intersection then take the left rd for another 1.5km. A small group of boulders is just up on the right side of the rd. This is the first group of problems. A few short cracks, a flake problem and some slabby/seamy looking things.

To get to the next group of problems walk 500m further down the rd to a steep motor bike trail on the right. This will lead you up to the main group of problems.
