Yep, I went in at 12:10 on my lunch break and spoke to the 3 staff that were there.
No customers at that stage, but I'm heading in again tonight for a climb!
No grades have been posted publicly yet, I mean the route setters have their view but the staff have not displayed this yet, also from the quick look that I took, there didn't seem to be any really hard routes.
I may be proved way wrong tonight though!

Jast called in for a look as well. The staff said opening hours were still to be decided on,
maybe after a survey of peoples preferences. The gym looks well set up, cant wait to get on it in the city.

The grades have not been posted as the routes have not been climbed as such.
The route setters have bee Andrew Ellmore, Ashleigh Hendy, Dave McKelvie and Taruna.
Both Andrew and Taruna are UIAA qualified and set comp routes. They have set a variety of routes.
Sugguest that you have a climb and advise the staff what you think the grades are and then we will run with the over all agreeance and post them.

Will it be using the Hard Rock grading system or the standard Australian Ewbank system?

we have decieded to use the "guess what grade system."
We will have a row of numbers on a chart and a texta and any one can circle the number they think the climb is.

me and mate checked out the gym last night and :
great location
great views from up the top of the climbs
floor is awsome
staff were helpful and friendly
leading possibilities are the best yet in any gym
gripes!!!
PLEASE!!!!can you fix the climbing holds. in the space of 3 hours 2 were broken completly off the wall and i reckon about 3/4 dozen holds were found to be loose. it seems to me the holds are a fundemental part of climbing but i think someone forgot to check the holds were on properly
overall i rate the place as very good indeed and once the teething problems are sorted out i think i could be persuded to switch gyms
cheers to another good gym

Is there a bouldering cave/area?
Me thinks flexible lunch hours at work might need to be arranged......

No bouldering I'm afraid. Just rope climbing.

Yeah no bouldering, but yes to the leading. Draws haning everywhere, also I asked the staff on Thurs and your lead card from Nunna is good at the CBD so you can jump right on.

I reckon if you opened one day a week before work you'd get a fair few in for a morning traning session. Just an idea.

Anyone know the hours; is it open all day tomorrow (Sunday 11th?)
or the phone number?

Much skin lost in the cracks this afternoon. Great fun!
The staff are friendly, and when we were leaving they were making efforts to tighten up holds. Pretty much every route had at least one spinner. Adventure indoor climbing - who needs the Wolgon?!
Will be great having another venue.

Whats the verdict? How many topropes/lead routes? Any of those auto-belays there?
Anyone got any photos?
