Hey there , I was in Thailand Last year for a month and ended down south at this new area called Lao Liang. The best Bouldering and Climbing in Thailand. The climbing is unusual for Thailand, it has incut crimps and the rock is very much like Araps in colour. Accom. is in the best stand up tents which have two single beds, lights and is on the beach. You get all your meals cooked for you and if you don't want to climb, you can go snorkling, fishing, diving or just out on the kyaks. It's all part of this destination. A good friend of mine is involved in the develpoment of this area so we paid very little. having said that, it is very cheap anyway! The climbing is pretty much in the shade for most of the day except for early morning. There is even multi pitch routes there. The island is very removed from everything, no tourists, no shopping, no haggling, no noise and no smells. This place has a beach which looks like the beaches on the front of any Thai brochure you would see in a travel agency. It is worth the visit as they only take 40 people at any one time, and you certainly feel as if you are alone, except at meal times when everyone comes together in the usual way to have some food.
