I often wonder whether we, as humans, have any good reason going to places where supposedly the principles of humane action no longer apply. For me, climbing is an activity that is centred on enjoyment and as such can be a celebration of everything that is good about being alive but I think you have to bear in mind that it is of no great importance whatsoever, it is a sport and something we do for self gratification. I am disgusted by people who think getting to the top of whatever mountain is more important than giving comfort to some poor bugger who is dying. Inglis shouldn't be the one singled out for the critcism as he was one of many..... FUBAR!!! IMHO
