I find abseiling really enjoyable and will do it out of preference everytime (with good anchor options) it
seems like too much of a free elevator ride to pass it up.... I think that this is partly due to the fact that I
have done a fair bit of abseiling (Urban rope rescue) off of very tall buildings and find the feeling of
exposure you get with 10-15 storeys of featureless concrete much more of a mindfeck than some cliff
with nice views and the odd bit of shrubbery. Even given that the anchors you use in urban settings will
usually require the building to collapse before they would ever fail buildings are just plain unfriendly and
they also have some spooky winds too.... |
