Is anyone else annoyed that the first day of competition is on a Friday? i just checked my SAC dates for school and found i could easily have one or two SACS on that day. Would it not be common sense to hold the competition on the Saturday and Sunday? especially seeing as all the interstate youth have to fly down.

Would love to drop in Sabu, but will be unable to with work commitments.
The sport needs support, especially to encourage the Juniors to continue and develop their climbing...

Nationals was a great two days of climbing by all. Thanks to all the sponsers, organisers and setters, you guys did a great job.
The competition was very high, with loads of talented climbers especially the Youth A division where Thomas Farrel, Callum Hyland and Matt Storer fought it out for the top placings!! Also very cool to see the little ones (about half our weight and size) slugging their way up the climbs in the Youth D and C divisions. Had a great time and looking forward to the next one!
Cheers
Sabu

Yes, the 2 days of competition was fantastic.
The Austrailan Junior team was selected at the event, so we will now see a talented team of young climbers competing O/S.
Does everyone know that the Asutralian Sports Commission does not recognise Rock Climbing as a Sport.
The SCA- Sports Climbing Association -which is the major body here in Austraila, who organises comps, needs members.
Now I know that not all of you want to participate in competitions, thats fine, but it would be great to assist those who do, so that Rock Climbing can grow and that there can be more comps for those that want to compete.
The SCA is offering a special $1.00 introductory membership to try and get members to assist with the requirements set by the ASC- Australian Sports Commission.
If you want to help , you can give your dollar to the following gyms and they will forward details to SCA membership person.
St Peters NSW, Climb Fit NSW, Hardrock Vic or contact Mike Garben at St Peters- He is the Membership man!
