One of my climbing buddies had an old beat up gemini with a boot full of rust. We often had to push start the thing and coast down hills just to keep it from over heating. Once turned off it wouldn't start for half and hour unless you turned it back on right away. If you used the brakes to much down ranges they would over heat and stop working. Thats if it had the power to get you up there in the first place and didn't over heat. You had to keep the windows down to prevent it from filling up with exhaust fumes. The radio had only one busted speaker in the dashboard which you could only hear while stationary or at a full crackling blast (we sang a lot). It rattled and shook when you did anything over 100km and refused to accelerate on the rare occasion we had/could overtake something else on the road. It's paint job was about 4 shades of yellow with rust for the trimming. And had skinny little wheels that saw us end up in the ditch on many a dirt road (but i didn't spill my beer!).

But it could go almost anywhere because you wern't scared to scratch it, was rear wheel drive and we had ropes to winch the bastard out if it got stuck. It was made from steel and wouldn't dent even if you dropped a ton of bricks on it. It was also quite comfy to sleep in when we were to lazy or drunk to setup a tent of bivvy. Ahhhh the fun old days of wondering if we'd even get to the crag...
