Person missing at Buffalo

Just a note to anyone visiting Buffalo as the snow melts.

The VCC has received a request for climbers to be on the lookout for clues about someone who went missing during the winter.

Details:
My partner Marino folino has been missing on Mt. Buffalo since 13th May. Could you let members know about Marino so they can keep there eyes peeled if going to Buffalo. He was wearing blue jeans, black corduroy jacket, grey top, black riding boots, prescription glasses, wrist watch with leather band. He was carrying a black wallet, house/car keys, champion rube tobacco (yellow coloured packet), lighter and papers. I would greatly appreciate it if you could do this as we are still searching for him when the snow melts. Finding something he was wearing or carrying might lead us in a direction to finding him.
Regards Gwen Stewart, Wangaratta.

There was an 'incident' involving Search & Rescue from Melbourne and local SES in the vicinity of the Hang Glider area of the Gorge on Saturday afternoon.

On Sunday when I spoke with the Head Ranger, she declined to comment re confirming the possibility that it was the recovery of the missing man.

Border Mail Newspaper today (25/10/04) had front page spread on the recovery of Mr Marino Folino from Mt Buffalo where he had been missing since before winter.

Our condolences go to Gwen Stewart (et al) of Wangaratta.

Yes, I received an email from Gwen confirming that Marino had been found.

I second the condolences of course!
