Hiya!
Looking for a feed of pizza and fried goods in Horsham! We'll be there at about 7. What's good? What will be open?
Thanks in advance!

What's good? Tricky one.
More luck with the second :
The Wilson St Fish and chip shop opposite the Royal Hotel.
Da Mena's Pizza up the north end of Firebrace st (there's a Domino's nearby if you're into that). There's few other take-away places up that north end of Firebrace too, including Indian.

Doin' Pizza on Dooen road is reputedly good and open till 8. I've never had their pizza but I'm going to try them tonight.
Bonnie and Clydes near the corner of Darlot and pynsent is also good for pizza though maybe a bit pricey.
I wouldn't recommend any of the fish and chips I've had in Horsham.
Other take away:
The Turkish kebab place at the top of firebrace is also nice.
Horsham marsala a few doors down is good curry.
Ginger chilli in the target centre is good Asian fusion stuff.
Thai basil on darlot street also good but closed on Sunday I think.
The Chinese opposite coles is terrible.
There's a Domino's on fire brace too.

Have you had it since changed to rocking robins? I haven't as I've pretty well given up on fish anywhere I can't see the ocean but if you think it's decent I'll risk it.

Mmmm, Rockin robins was the site of my worst ever fish and chip experience. Maybe I got them on a bad day as my buddy reckons they're usually pretty good...

Haven't tried it for years. I ignored the "What's good" part of the question.asI couldn't think of anything that qualified.

I like the atmosphere at Da Mena's - it's what a small-town pizza place should be - not a corporate franchise. The pizzas aren't great but they are better than Dominos.

Drive 45 minutes south to Stawell. Raunchy Rooster will get your blood thickening

It was quite good and very filling for pizza. I normally knock off an entire large pizza and some garlic bread myself but tonight only managed about half that.

WTF? A whole large pizza and a garlic bread in a sitting? How is that the next day?

It's usually ok. On hungry days I've been known to eat half a garlic bread and one and a half pizzas and that might cause a bit of an issue, but nothing strong coffee can't fix.
