Does anyone know of any good sites that host free classifieds for second hand and new gear?

You could try ebay. As in:
http://listings.ebay.com.au/aw/plistings/list/category2020/index.html

You're also welcome to post your list of used gear here.

Have you had a look at the notice board at The Mill?

They always have people wanting to get rid of gear cheap, and usually within the area, making it possible to inspect before buying.

Yeah , we do this at the Freezer ... you ease the tube into the drill-hole then suck out all the dust .

Makes ya cough like a mother, but !!!!

Shawko --- is this all 4 real ??? I had no idea !!!
The closest thing Ive seen , is in a 1960s National Geographic of Layton Kor blowing dust from a drill hole on the Utah tower , The Titan ...

How bizarre !!! ... why not just use a narrow plastic/rubber tube ??

Why the f use a glass tube ???

How hard to drill holes in the glass ??

Do u really suck in ( am I being sucked in ??) or would it be better to blow out ??

I cant sleep tonight !!!
Keep seeing men all dressed in white ...

Get a blower. Available from total tools or all tools. Ramset and others make devices specific for cleaning holes.
And those glueins that use glass cylinders can be very messy and specifi to place. Too deep and you don;t get enough glue/metal/rock contact. Too shallow and you spill glue everywhere. Not enough mixing and the glue dosn't set properly. Too much mixing and you loose strength. Too cold and the glue dosn't set. Too hot and it sets too quickly.

Go to the ramset website and findout more. Or petzl make a similar product. (I think it's ramset).

I use Stainless dynabolts from steve@climbinganchors.com he has lots of cool stuff.

And it's not always best to tell people about what you plan on bolting. As some people are inclined to get off work early on a friday and bolt it before you get there Saturday morning. Better still take friday off and tell them on Thursday night. And beat them to it. Ask me who these notorious Friday bolters are.

Your confusion arises because you have mis-read the earlier post hex.
(shawkshaw was wanting a test-tube-brush, ie if it is narrow enough to clean a test tube then it should do the same for a bolt hole).

... patiently awaiting the witty retort / flames?
