Hello Climbers who love the Blue Mountains,
The NSW Government is calling for submissions, by 13th March, about a Coal Seam Gas Exploration license which covers the Blue Mountains. It's called PELA 158 and the proponent is Ceemac Pty Ltd.
I figure there are some people on this forum who might have something to say! There are instructions on how to make a submission here:
http://stopcsgbm.net.au/pela158instruct.php
I also checked it out on the NSW Government website here (Look under PELA 158):

The Blue Mountains was preserved for us by some passionate and vocal people in the early 20th century. Let's keep up the tradition!

Do our submissions end up in the same place as the ones we all did to DPI regarding Victorian camping fees?

I was more wondering if the submissions end up in the same orifice where daylight does not shine or a different one....

Well, it's more likely that you go to GetUp's website - click on the automated email - spend 5 seconds venting your grievances... the email then goes to their automated processing service, which sends you an email back saying:
"Thank you for your automated grievance, we take it seriously enough to set up an autoresponder with a link to the policy you dislike... Have a nice day."

Why does that automated response remind me of 'Bang the table' as set up by NSW National Parks Service?
Hmm, ... service???
~> Another dumbed down, politically correct term like NSW Police Service, which once upon a time was known as the NSW Police Force.
