Bite your tongue, there exists no other pitch which is more out there!

Ordeal by Fur on the Sydney Sea Cliffs. I was lured onto it after reading it was a 21, it's 25 !

How about Llareggub at Araps? From a beginners grade of 12 to a not very well protected 17.

Think it's 18 in the latest guide.

Didn't Mikl put up a 23 in the you yangs that's 28 now?

I'd also be wary of anything Mikl originally graded 17. He told me that the hardest climb in Australia at the time was a 17 and therefore anything he climbed must have been that or less...

3D Wimpout at Berowra felt bloody hard for 21 the last time I was on it, but I think it's a combo of not having been out in a while and old school thin wall sandstone. Just about anything at the Big K. used to be amusing, but the new guide seems to have added 3-4 grades to everything.

Someone admitted to me that Butter Knives at Berowra might be a touch harder than 26 since it took them 3 months after doing a 29 at Araps in 3 days...

Pitch 2 of Lieben
and pitch 4...
and pitch 5 actually if you go wrong way.
I guess this was the 17 mikl based his grading on?
Resurrection corner at frog is a climb I try to remember when I think something may be 18.

There is plenty of gear on Llareggub, its just a bit sustained and a bit hard to place.

Dramp? No way.

I vote for Pearls Before Swine. 20? yeah right.

Vandal probably has a few supporters, but I think 17 is about right.

I did it 2 or 3 times before it was upgraded, but given my present state of fitness I'd say it was 21 and getting harder - and that's before I'd step off the ground.

Anything that a dicky-ticker climbing partner karks on while on-rope with you when doing it...

Heh, heh, heh.

I reckon hangdog has it, now i know climbing isn't all about the grades but when you start out and done a few 17s and get on this beast you don't try it again til you climb twice the grade (22 not 34) and its still bloody hard.

Bozo (20) at Bartondale, Nowra. 10 years ago tried it with 3 others after doing Mega Mac and none of us could do the crux.

To the TS, what is particularly sandbaggy about Dramp? Bit goey and smeary at the crux, but I reckon there are plenty of harder 21s at Araps.

'The route that shall not be named' at 'the cliff known throughout the world' ....
3 S&C's? Come on, 1.5 at the most; they mustn't have climbed much in the Blueies ....

Seriously some of you Vic hard men should just have a hack and give it a shot . . .

You tried to sandbag me onto this when I was learning trad, but then later confessed it's not a great one to start on

Ballrace (17) at Piddo... I can walk up The Kraken (22) first shot, but fall off Ballrace as my next climb on the same day. Even on subsequent repeats I feel like I'm fighting tooth and nail for the first 8m of that climb.
