Hi guys,
So, after a few years of failed attempts, we have finally managed to get Monash University to support us in the building of a bouldering wall at their Clayton Campus. The wall will be accessible to all. However, before building begins we need to decide on an exact location, the configuration/looks of the wall and raise quite a bit of cash.
Now, even though most of you probably aren't staff, students, alumni, friends or locals of the Monash Community, I happen to know how amazing the climbing community is at lending a helping hand! So, right now, us incredibly dumb youngsters are dying to get some suggestions as to how and where to build the wall. As well as tips if you have them on ways we could raise the funds. Any tips at all (some of you where involved in Burnley afterall) would be absolutely amazing!!!!
We've created a fb page for anyone who'd be willing to sacrifice ten seconds of their precious time to support and help us!!!!

Here's hoping the other Vic Uni's follow suit (not that we're the first) and the climbing community grows even more in the years to come

Excellent news!
Has the uni stipulated any size and height constraints? Can they provide some funds and labour? Obviously something that is still usable in the rain would be ideal.

Why don't you try crowd funding? Free use of the wall for a year for anyone who puts in a certain amount or something like that.
Put your design up on chockstone before you build it to get opinions. If you need advice on construction, let me know.

Be aware that Latrobe University Bendigo just dismantled their freely accessible bouldering wall due to potential liability issues.
The students their may have some more info on why and may be selling their holds...
Good Luck!
