Interested to know if anyone climbs at Bullangarook. This is a serious question so please respond honestly. If anyone wants to know the purpose of this survey please PM me direct, happy to reply.

That crag should be top rope only. I attempted to do some rebolting there about 10 years ago and gave up because the rock was so soft under the thin crust that even glue-ins didn't seem to work. It was like powdered coal.

I reckon if you live nearby and can't be bothered going to Camels Hump than it's a valid option. I don't reckon I'd drive out from Melbourne unless you added a cafe with awesome hot cross buns (chic chip), mud wrestling and/or a slurpee machine.

My demands above are negotiable...

OK, time to fess up & let you know the purpose of the poll. It's a long story & I wont go into all the details. The Macedon Council is looking to rezone the area immediately around Bullangarook Quarry. Regardless of the zoning outcome current legal activities such as camping, on road 4wd and rock climbing will continue as is.

I did question whether Bullangarook should be recognised as a DEPI recreation site, albeit 'very basic'. Based on the responses to date, and my own opinion, I think it should remain informal ie. no change to current status.
