chockies - can you please advise who is the regulatory or other authority responsible for licencesing or regulating safety in climbing gyms in Victoria. Worksafe for the latter I assume, no idea on the former. Is there any regulation?

Wasn't aware that it doesn't exist anymore. It's been quite a few years since I was working in the gym so this indeed could be the case... Hopefully someone can offer a more current option?

There is no licensing system. There is an Australian Standard, which covers mainly construction standards but some operational matters as well. Workcover, or the Victorian equivalent, takes an interest especially where workers' safety is concerned. If you have a specific question, you can PM me, I might be able to help.
