I can't believe its taken over 70 posts to get to this....but for fks sake Ollie just either cough up for some jugs or don't. Make a frikking decision....

PLEASE tell us what you are going to do and do it quick - cos I can't bear another second of the CJ and ODH dick wagging show....

i.e. blah blah blah "did i tell ya the thyme i did biccy chewinhard without ratpoison....blah blah blah ....boy did those little critters eat up me ropes....had to rap out off using crossed crabs over me dick as it was the only hard thing the critters didn't eat....blah blah blah"

Yeah, it's a pretty gay thread, neither of us is really going to bite, I was bored.

Oli is tight for sure, but he's also got that engineer thing of trying to optimise things, which is fair enough. And he's plenty good enough at climbing to get up the thing (even with his half-cut ropeman idea), so whatever.

However, I have one last question for Ollie:

I know ya love da physics so I have a quick question for ya:

I have a climbing mate who is fat, let's just call him Ed. Me and Ed always share petrol 50/50 and drive 100kms to the crag every weekend.

Getting to the point now:

Q1. Given he has 50% more mass than me - how much more should he contribute to the petrol bill? How would this differ if he drove at 60kmh rather than at 150kmh? Let's call this amount of money per trip $X.(Newtonian approximations are OK)

Q2. If I started claiming my right to $X per trip, how many trips would it take for him to begin to resent me and start putting my life in danger?

Q3. How many trips of me being tight waddish and claiming my right to $X per trip would it take to fly to Yosemite to climb wiff me bro?

PS. Ed mate - ya reckon I could borrow ya ya jugs ta practice big walling.

As for this one....OK its a bit of a piss take, but Ollie takes pleasure in dishing it out from time to time so whats the problem with evening it out a bit? In any case I reckon Ollies original thread is just as much nonsense as mine, given he is clearly a pretty competent climber with aspirations beyond the local gym. So, regardless of his trip to the valley – if he thinks he is going to need jugs shouldn’t he just go out and get some? Unless he quits tomorrow they will get used and I’d say he should stop wasting chockstone’s time by asking such dumb questions.

Or could it be that he thought by asking a dumb question he'd get a bit of banter directed back at him, a bit of useful advice and a few laughs. Gosh...isn't that chockstone in a nutshell.

I'm glad people are generous enough to lend out this specialist crap when someone needs it. What's the point of everyone owning a bit of aid gear and a bit of ice gear, and most of it has only seen the light of day once or twice.

You just have to know where to draw the line. Do not, under any circumstances, lend Oli your ropes..........we know how it panned out the last time someone made that mistake!

Meant posts, but this topic is pointless. As have been many of your posts during your many name/personality changes and posts of late!

Even though the Jumar topic has slipped into a tedious OHD - Crazyjohn slanging match, there is at least a discussion on climbing.
