Bouldering Comp

This Saturday (the 5th) there's going to be a bouldering comp at Cliffhanger. Starts anytime between 11 and 2, finishes at 4pm. Climb what you can style comp (i.e. a few hour bouldering session where you write down what you tick). Seems it's cheaper if you enter before the day.

Just rang Cliffhanger. Apparently you can enter on the day for $10....nice

Most of you know i work at cligghanger, so i guess this is a bit of a plug. I just think it would be awesome to get a good turnout for this comp. If we get a good turnout, we may be able to make them a regular thing, which would mean heaps more new problesm set and on a regular basis.

So come along and have a boulder and some fun.

Just to add to the dribs and drabs of information about the bouldering comp - apparently there will be two self nominated divisions: intermediate and open.

As long as I can kick this flu I'm definately planning on being there.

The cave was stripped completely on thursday, and a number of us set all day friday, some untill 11:30pm. In the end i think there was around 50-60 problems completed, all of three star quality of course.

Phil, Matt and everyone else who was involved - thanks - the comp was great fun - all the effort was much appreciated. Hopefully we'll get some more comps soon.

(On a related note: Does anyone know if the monthly bouldering comps at flemington will be making a comeback?)

Thanks for the support to everyone that attended. Sorry for the lack of information about the boulder comp, 2 reasons really, I was sidetracked on other matters, plus it was supposed to be laid back and informal, as it was in reality just a use of our normal route setting activities, this month we just chose to re-set the whole cave!

Thanks for all your support. Hopefully we'll see many of you on a more regular basis?!
