Best: building up to climbing Mt Aspiring/Tititea from Raspberry Flat and doing just that in trying conditions over a week. Worst: No climbing worsts, so slightly different - fearing that a competitor I came across on an Orienteering event in thick matagouri/spaniard/gorse would die as he had punctured his cheek and an artery and had lost a lot of blood [but then being actively involved in the rescue and seeing him at a rogaining event the following week albeit not competing - so I guess that's another "best"]. Seems like I had a good year!
