Well if you're fishing at the Point, the traditional thing was to clamber down the cliffs. Trad fishers used rotting hawser ropes and ladders and the occasional rotting bolt: there may be some bits left near the hut in the cliff near VB slab. You will have a rap rope. You'll certainly have less competition than at the Tubes.
